Here we are again... and with a definite chill in the air in the early morning...
The lovely Autumn days are on the way... and certainly around my running locations, the hedges are already bursting with blackberries.
I have had a great week since the Spitfire run, with a couple of good leg stretchers! Hope you have all had some good runs too
There are so, so many of us running now and doing the most amazing things... This is a great place to share your thoughts and your running plans with each other
The number of folk on the forum is still increasing... we can hardly keep track! It s tricky to keep up with everyone's progress... it is great to have a little fun post, so we can see who is on which week of the programme, and hopefully it will help everyone to feel more included on the forum.
I apologise if I miss posts or replies, as there really are a lot of us!
We can support, encourage and generally help each other, in a positive and friendly way, with no thought of comparison.
Please remember it doesn't matter if you stay on the same week for a while, that is fine; it is a journey and it really doesn't matter how long it takes, it will be so worth it when you get to the final run.
If you have just Graduated, also, this will be a great place to keep you motivated, and there is a brand new Quest on here, every month too...please do take a look and join in!
This month..our awesome IannodaTruffe is hosting it!
The Search for an Indian Summer Quest! WOW!
One of the best things about this weekly chat is that you can TALK to each other, support and encourage each other and find folk on the same week or run as you.
So, please do come and join the fun...just slip off your running shoes, and just let us know how it is going

This week, it's probably about getting back out there. Had a rotten cold last week and even just a few minutes walking had me sweating and my head pounding.
On the mend now, and survived 2 rugby matches yesterday, so time to get back outside and ease myself back on to the paths and trails while there's still enough light in the evenings to enjoy them.
Hi Floss, I have been watching the Great North Run on BBC 1, during the run, C25K was promoted, so expect a few new members to our website, already I have welcomed two new members. π π
Dear OF! It looks like the last winter and my home life knocked me for a loop but I'm on a regular running schedule again--every other day. As you know, I was dangerously close to not running any more, but thank you for helping me stay with it; I was hanging by a thread and you were my lifeline. I'm running slower this year, but I'm running every other day for 30 minutes, (or "Speed.") Thank you so much for being there for me. What you didn't know is that I was suffering from bloody noses when I ran, but I think(?) that has stopped. I was probably eating too much salt and ramping up my blood pressure. I'm denying myself almost all salt now--even that in bread--and I think it's working. At any rate, I'm running! THANK YOU, OF!!!
You are still here, you are still running and that is, ( as if I needed thanks), all the thanks I need.
You have been under such pressure, ( some of which I was not aware of :)) Ditching the salt is a great idea.. I have never liked salt and never add it to anything..I do use it in my homemade bread and on fresh tomatoes in the extreme heat ... which is clearly when my body needs it !
Running every other day is terrific...I have to miss two days when we care for small one, but get an extra one in here and there.
So here we are... still hanging in and still supporting each other.. Brilliant! xxx
Just started Week 8 - so close! Still very slow, but proud of my new gained stamina. So much more energy throughout the day and I can feel a real lift in my mood.
After graduating at least twice since I first downloaded Couch 25k in 2012 Iβm back at it again. I took a break for about a year after having knee problems but regular yoga has helped a lot.
Iβm now on Week 6 run 3. ( I did run 2 twice as I had to take a break for a few days). I restarted at week 5.
Feeling good and taking it slowly. Living on a Greek island with beautiful scenery and perfect weather ( not too hot now) for running is a great helpπ.
Good luck everyone!
( Just realized Iβve been βwithβ Laura for seven years!).
