Ouch

I only did a gentle run last night, took the pooch for a 30 minute walk tonight and my foot is throbbing! I've always had issues with it that I've just put down to "it's your age dear" but it is seriously giving me grief tonight. Any ideas? It's across the top of my foot mainly just above the big toe but so sore.... Not worn any different shoes.

Sometimes upper foot pain is down to lacing being too tight. As it’s ongoing I’d recommend getting it checked out my a medical professional.

Thanks you're probably right. I've been meaning to have it looked at even before I started running....it's never hurt this much before!

Running will certainly highlight any issues... hopefully it’s something that can be fixed with exercises, but there’s only one way to find out really. Hope you find the answer.

I'm really going to have to get it looked at. I'm pretty used to ignoring it but I'm in so much pain tonight 😞

So sorry to hear this, I know how you feel! The pain I’ve been getting is top of foot, extending to the outer foot and ankle, so similar, and I found ice really helped with the pain, although it’s not solved the issue. I’m thinking it’s tendonitis and I’m going to see a physio. Maybe that would be a good idea for you too. Good luck 🤞🏻

Thank jazzy! Was hoping it would be better this morning but there's only been a very slight improvement. I imagine by the time I get an appointment with a doctor it will be fine again 🙄 looks like a relaxing weekend for me!

Funny how things change - not so long ago, a “relaxing weekend” would have sounded perfect, but now I just want to run! 😂 Hope yours soon feels better
