It's been 2 years since I tried c25k. Failed miserably in 2018. But since being ill in April this year (I'm well now) I decided once better I would try again. I have completed 2 weeks, now moving onto week 3, but boy do my shins hurt tonight! Just done wk2 run 3. Not had this pain before. Is this usual?

Ouch shins hurt
Welcome back to the forum and well done on getting restarted.
This guide to the plan is essential reading healthunlocked.com/couchto5...
and includes advice on minimising impact, stretching after every run, hydration and strengthening exercises, all of which will help.
Enjoy your journey.
I’m no expert (on week 4), but the commonest advice on here is to slow down.
Google Japanese slow jogging...
Ironically C25K is not a race...you’re building up stamina so you can run for 30 minutes. Speed comes much later 😊
I had shin pain when I first completed the programme, it came from overextending my stride. (I had to back off.. then other stuff got in the way... so now, 2 years later, I'm back and taking it much easier. )

this also includes the shuffle which is what I'm trying to adopt more of.
