I did it!

I have waited a long time to say this...I've done it! I have just ran for 30 mins for the 3rd time. For the first time in a very long time I am actually proud of myself and feel like I have started to achieve something. I am doing something I am enjoying and might actually be good at. I am doing something for myself and following through and not giving up when it gets hard. I have learnt to listen to my body and have learnt to deal with my knees being a huge issue. But mostly It has given me head space... I was in a very bad place when I started this and although I am by no means better it has given me something to aim for and something to feel good at. Thankyou for all the advice I have had and all the support. Sorry for rambling. X

Ahh thankyou. I don't think I'm an inspiration....I have found it hard and every run is a challenge as I have to compete with my own head telling me each time it wasnt good enough or fast enough or far enough and I could have done this or that better. X

I'm finishing week 7 today and continue to be amazed that I'm still doing it and really enjoy running! You're so right about the headspace thing. I've seen a definite improvement in my mental health 😊
