Week 9 Run 3 - I DID IT!!!

Just got back from running the very last run of the programme, I can't believe that I did it! I'm so proud of myself for actually going through with it, pushing through and completing it! It's very encouraging because I often start something and never complete it, but not this time! I feel like I can call myself a runner now and I really love it!

I originally started c25k because of my driving lessons actually! I've been learning manual for 10 months and my instructor suggested that I try automatic. After a lot of indecision I realized that learning to drive is a lot like running a marathon, not a sprint and you have got to have endurance to run a marathon. So I decided to stick at manual (I have my test in July which is exciting!) and I'm not giving up until I pass that test finish line! Because I made a link between endurance running and learning to drive I knew that I just had to run and 9 weeks later here I am! And running has actually improved my driving because I go for a run beforehand and I find that I am less stressed and more focused in my driving lessons!

I find for me that running is a great life lesson in endurance and never giving up, and this is why I am running to remind myself of that. Onwards and upwards! :-D

Very well done Redcello41, doesn’t that feel grand?

As a born non-completer myself, I know exactly what you mean! So be very proud of yourself that you have done it this time.

Now work on a bit of consolidation whilst you work out where you wish to go next.

(And good luck with the driving - it is so worthwhile to be able to be independent)

Congratulations Red! πŸŽ‰πŸŽ†πŸŽ‡πŸŽˆ
