This is a long post even for me but here goes: Today's the day!!! I completed my graduation run! If you'd have told me at week 1 that I'd get to this point I'd struggle to believe it, but here we are!
The actual run went well! Much like the last one I kept a good steady pace for the whole run and although no run is easy it also wasn't too hard! I kept thinking about how good I would feel at then end and imagining myself writing this post :')
I can't begin to tell you all what an amazing experience this has been! I would actually go as far as to say that starting this program is up there with one of the best decisions I've ever made. It's already done wonders for my fitness but also it's benefitted me in a huge way mentally. Having goals to achieve has given me focus during a time when I've needed it most. Obviously when I started the program we were in Lockdown 2. Shortly after that I moved into tier 4 and was placed on furlough again. I'm the kind of person that needs routine and C25K has given me that. The feeling of accomplishment I've had after every run has kept me positive during these otherwise pretty dark times!
In terms of my physical health, I already feel notably fitter and I've lost some weight in the last couple of months too (I've been eating better and walking and cycling too) I find walking my dog on long hilly walks far easier and I've found my stamina during my karate training has improved too! I'm excited to keep running and challenge myself more with different routes and more distance as I continue my journey I can't believe I'm actually at a point where I enjoy running! :') It's officially gonna be a habit!
Finally, the support I've received on this platform has been amazing! The encouraging words and advice I've been given has really kept me going throughout this experience. I can't thank you all enough!
Anyway! Thanks for reading this far! :') there will be many more runs and many more posts ahead of this one! The journey is still just beginning! Happy running you lovely lot!!!! <3

Hope you will celebrate today! Well deserved! πππ
Yay well done!! I feel exactly the same about starting running. I completed couch to 5k in 2020 and it was a huge achievement for me, without a doubt the best decision I made last year. Hope you continue!
Congratulations on your graduation, a great feeling, and a very inspiring post from you, everyone on here, probably felt just like you, in the early weeks of c25k, what a brilliant programme, and sounds like this running malarky has hooked you in!!! πππ₯³π₯³ππ
Congratulations.. I'm on my 3rd week struggling a bit but I ran 3 mins straight, which is a big achievement. Like you the feeling after makes me feel really good, this is what keeps me going. Your post is really encouraging and I hope to get to where you after the 9 weeks although I can't imagine it just yet. Thank you for sharing x
Thanks! I felt EXACTLY like you at week 3! Running 3 mins seemed like a huge jump from 1 min 30 and I remember it being the slowest 3 mins of my life every time π but Iβll tell you what everyone told me cause itβs good advice - trust in the programme it gets easier and youβll be surprised at what you can do before you know it youβll be graduating too! x
