A week off

I just returned from a week in Devon. Despite my best intentions, I just didn't get round to going for a run. Today was spent emptying the car, drying out the tent and so my next run is first thing tomorrow morning! I am a bit worried that I'll struggle after a week of no running (did lots of walking though), but the main reason for my post is that now it's on here, I'm committed. No excuses allowed!

You’ll be fine! Takes about two weeks before you lose fitness and you’ve been walking. Nice and slow and you’ll back in the groove!

We shall watch for your post... feet up a bit and head out steady and slow! You are going to be fine:)

Well done Zeb, I like your thinking. Nothing to worry about, nice holiday, lots of walking.. Just go out for a run. Happy days.

hi Zebadee1, hope you had nice holiday

We just back this afternoon from week away, took running gear but we walked that much never got a run in 😳. Hence once we got car unloaded I headed off for quick 20 mins run just to prove to myself I could still do it😂 I can settle now n rest easy- eee who’d have thought a couple of months back that I would be worrying about not running🤔🤣🏃‍♀️

good luck with getting back into routine👍

I also had a week off in July. My first run felt a bit hard but nothing to worry about. Good luck 😊
