Week off

Hey everyone! Just looking for some advice! I haven’t run for a week due to being away for the weekend then being ill on Monday and Tuesday and I’ve had hospital appointment today so life has got in the way!

I was on week 8, should I be able to just go out tomorrow and pick up where I left off?

Hi Dennymac, If you feel better, you should try to pick up where you left. I'm just over a really bad cold and had to wait for a week before my next run: it felt surprisingly easy and good. Just make sure you start slow and see how you feel. You can always shorten the run if you feel bad.

Thank you! It’s daunting after a small break! Gonna give it a go tomorrow though!

A week off should be fine. You don't really start to lose fitness in the first 2 weeks off.

Yep... just start where you left off.. slow and steady :)

Give it a go, and as Oldfloss says, take it really slow and steady, and make sure you believe you can do it (that's half the battle). Good luck. :-)
