I had to have an enforced week off running last week after a car had me off my bike. I'd thought it was just a scraped knee and sore hand until I tried to run last Monday and it felt like someone was hitting me in the kidneys with a cane. I've been having problems with my kidneys anyway for the last couple of months so thought it was that and pushed on with the w7r3 run. It was only the next day that my side still felt sore and I found I was badly bruised so it must have been the bike accident afterall.
I've hated not running this last week but knew I needed to let it heal. Today I was feeling loads better and the bruising has gone down a lot so decided to give w8r1 a go, but was worried after having a week off that I'd find it hard.
Just finished and feel so much better now I've been able to run again.... Think I may have become addicted 😁

It was more annoying at the time then scary as the driver just pulled into the cycle bay where I was setting off from, knocked me off my bike (thankfully at low speed) and then whilst I was under my bike dazed on the floor she stepped over me to go into a shop 🙄
Unfortunately I was to dazed at the time to get the reg plate, and the cctv in the car park was looking a different direction, so I've chalked this one down to experience.
Well... you’ve been knocked down more during this than most, literally sadly, and you’re still standing, still running... my hat is off to you... go close this out.
Oh crikey Cheryl, that’s a bruise. I hope the woman was traumatised too - although sadly it seems like she wasn’t.
A week off hurts no-one. I had one a little while ago and came back stronger. So you did the right thing! 🏃♀️👏😀 You’re only 5 runs away from the podium! How exciting is that? 🏅
