Just completed run 3 which was interesting. This time managed all of it without pauses or breaks, apart from the last run I had to walk.
The first two runs of this week I was always looking at the timer thinking “Isn’t it time to slow down yet?” Whereas, this time I was shocked at how quickly the 60 seconds was over!
My ankles are still on fire but i was so close.
Thank you to everyone for the encouragement on my last post, don’t think I’ve ever been on a forum with so much love and support.
Will have to repeat the first week again I think but yeah a lot happier today.
Cheers all.

Congratulations on completing week 1, you will look back and think that was the hardest week.
For week 2, try going a little slower, it may help you complete the run/jog sections easier. Your running shoes may not be providing the support your ankles need.
I'm not saying run out and buy a pair of dedicated running shoes, if your trainers are older ones then the support they should give you has probably gone or not sufficient enough.
For some of the first time I ran C25K I used an old pair of Puma trainers that I had, I had trouble with my calves being tight, ankles aching, etc, and had to wear ankle supports, my wife bought a pair of Skechers and I got a pair of Skechers GoRun 400 for about £17 I think it was, these are the best trainers I have ever run in, light, supportive and comfortable as hell.
I bought a pair of Skechers GoRun 5, totally different to the 400, supportive at first but it seemed to drop of quickly, so I went back to the 400's but they are fast approaching the end of their life.
If you have the ability to try another pair of trainers it may ease your discomfort in your ankles.
👏👏👏 top stuff mate, keep at it!! Definitely go and get some proper running shoes, I’m no expert but there’s obviously a reason why they exist as a separate beast from trainers....the girl in the Nike shop did explain it to me and Mrs D when we stared C25K but it was too technical for me! You only have to look at other runners to see they are wearing 🏃♂️ shoes and not trainers to convince yourself.
