Well, I don’t mind admitting this, that was the hardest run I’ve done since we started. Maybe I haven’t drunk enough water today, or maybe it was just too hot, but my legs were heavy whole way round, I had stitches for the first time, and I was wheezing like a 90-year-old on the gentle inclines. That was tough and took every bit of mental resilience I had today. But hey another run under the belt and hard though I found it, I know that I couldn’t have done this 7 weeks ago so all good eh! Off to find somewhere to lie down and die quietly lol

Happy running everyone

Well done you, you may have been running faster than normal that can cause a stitch and harder too breathe, but you still did it 😊😊

Oh yes maybe. Still feels like I’m quite steady but I’d like to think that, so thank you 😀

It was also pointed out to me that across the three runs I’m now running 10 miles a week. That was also a good thought!

Well done, Topcat09 - you found it tough but you were tougher! Seems to be really common for people to start increasing their pace in the later weeks, without realising that they are doing it. The heat doesn't help either but I reckon if you make a real conscious effort to go slow and steady, you'll find the next run easier and also avoid the dreaded stitch! ☺

Hi again.

Yes I now wonder if that is what happened without me realising. I’ll consciously think about pace in my next run - and go early if it’s goibg to be another warm one.

Thanks for your encouragement x

Drink something and recover.. ( water). This heat is tricky... and our normal hydration may not be enough...

You did really well to keep going, so.. rest up and head out for your lovely, long run 3, steady and slow:)

But even though you felt like quitting. You didn't. That's me pretty much me every run by the way. Be proud that you pushed through. Well done.

Thank you 🙏

We simply can’t quit after we have come so far can we, even if we do feel like it!
