I did my first run in the rain today which is remarkable really as I live in Yorkshire! I like to run in the morni vs so had bought a bright yellow waterproof running Jacket and hat for the dark, wet mornings. A husky came and joined me running and started pawing at my ankles. I was a little bit scared but he seemed to be enjoying the run with me. His owner didnt look worried so i figured he was friendly and kept going. Anyway the run was really enjoyable surprisingly.
I'm visiting my 25 yr old son down south next week and he is going to run with me to encourage me. He said it's the first time we will ever have done exercise together and he is looking forward to it. He is fit so it won't be a workout for him but that's not the point.
There are so many benefits to this running malarkey. Some very unexpected ❤

Loving the hat and jacket combo - did they work out okay?
A change of running route is quite nice at this stage, I think Mr Smooth and the other coaches encourage you to change your route if you can, so 'son running' as opposed to rain running will be fab I am sure.
Haha yes, i agree 😀. It was nice today because the jacket kept me dry but cool. I liked the hat as it kept my hair off my face, might use it all the time.
A Yorkshire girl like me!! Yes, it bounced it down this morning..you did fab...I have my first run of week 7 tomorrow...looking forward to it....I love running in the rain ☔️
