Ok so, have had an extra days rest this week as should have gone out yesterday but had traveled back from holiday and was tired.

went out this afternoon and was running for about 10 mins when I realized I had heard nothing from our laura on the podcast, took my phone out of my pocket and realized it had paused. So carried on with lauras commentary and time till the end of the run. I knew I had run longer than usual(my body was telling me). When I checked on the app on my iphone it transpires I had run 5.09K in 40 Mins. My question is should I go back to WK7R3 on Monday and run for 25 mins or as I have extended the run should I run longer than the podcast. Don't want to injure my self. I still think this programme is brilliant.

I started on 17th april had couldn't manage 60 seconds of running.

Hi Jenman, your safest course of action is to do W7R3 and then continue through the schedule, with the confidence you know you can run for longer. Well done.

Thank you, I am still amazed the 56 year old ex smoker woman has managed all this since mid April, don't think I had run since I was at school!

Do w7r3 as you don't want to risk injury so close to finishing. Well done.

Thank you, I am sure sensible advice, I defo don't want to risk injury this close to finishing.

Still pinching my self I have got this far.

Yes stick with the programme or you will find yourself doing too much too soon. Take confidence from the fact that now you know you CAN run 5K and you CAN run for at least 40 mins. Good luck !
