Oh dear 😢 it didn’t go well today. I ran the first 3 and 5 minutes. On the second 3 minutes, I had to stop about half way through and walk. I managed to run the last 5 minutes, god knows how. I must have looked a right sight, lol 😂

This week will not defeat me 🐌🏃‍♀️

Well done... just rest up and then repeat the run.. steadily and very slowly ...you are going to be fine:)

Thank you. It was a little bit too warm as well. I’ll make sure I run in the morning so I keep cooler 😎

Could have been a hydration issue, especially with this heat. Only time I had to abandon a run was due to lack of water that morning. It literally felt like running out of petrol. So plenty of water on rest days and run days!

And this Japanese slow jogging technique is also useful for when you’re struggling with a run. I run this way all the time because I love it! But it’s a useful part of the running toolbox! Distance runners and elite athletes do train at slow speeds (as well as their target speeds) as it’s great for building strength and stamina without risk of injury.

I only run very slowly like in the film. I just got tired and hot.

There’s slow running, and then there’s Japanese slow jogging!!! 🤣🐌x

That Japanese thing is class. Especially for when people get to the latter weeks of the plan. You should never stop running, and something like this would work for everyone.

I’ll keep plodding along the best I can. I will complete it next time.

It’s really hard running in warmer weather. Don’t get put off. Just take it steady 👍

You can do it. Don’t stress about it, and sloooow right down. 😊

So, you only missed about 90 seconds of the total running time, and in hot weather too - I think you actually did really well! You’ll ace it next time.

Yes and it was a very big struggle. It’s such a big leap in running time compared to the first 3 weeks. I’ll do better next time.

I found this the hardest so far. First time I couldn’t complete the second 5 min run. Second time I couldn’t complete the last two runs and was really disheartened. However, having looked at other comments on here I read about slow running. Last night I slow ran them all 😊. So chuffed. Have a look at slow running and give it ago. I figured I’ll slow run and build up my speed at a later date. Good luck!

Just wanted to say that I found your post so comforting to read. I did my first week 4 run today and couldn't complete the last 5 minute run either, so was feeling a bit down as it's the first real time I've had to stop. Among all the posts on this website for successful runs and persevering, I felt disappointed that I just couldn't complete despite advice to take it slow and keep putting one foot in front of the other. Will look into the slow running, there's hope for me yet! Thanks again 🙂

Don’t see it as a failure just a blip in learning to run. Everyone has an off day so keep going. Best of luck with the next outing. You’ve got this x

Thank you so much for the encouragement, I definitely needed it today. You did so well managing to complete the second lot of 5 minutes after the partial walk during the 3 minutes. I really admire that, I'm sure you'll smash it next time!

Ps. I also dread to think what the neighbours think I look like when I return to the house haha but I wouldn't worry. I always think at least we're trying to do something to get fitter 🙂

I completed the C25K in January. It’s a hard slog but worth it if you enjoy running 🏃‍♀️ So have fun and keep running 🏃‍♀️

Sounds like a cracking effort, well done for pushing through the last 5 mins. See? Proves you can do it. Make sure the first 3 and 5 minute run are the slowest you could possibly jog.. that extra bit of energy will help you power through next time. Good luck! 💪🏼✨
