Hi, I did this tonight almost fainted when I heard I’d be running for 20 mins and although it was hard I did it πŸ˜ƒ just go for it

Yes it's right. Don't worry all the runs you've done up until now have prepared your body for it . Good luck 😊

Its such a common reaction that there is a pinned post all about W5r3. Well worth a read.

If you read the pinned post about Week 5 myths you will see that it makes sense. I felt exactly the same but did it. You will too and you'll feel amazing! It’s a real turning point. Good luck πŸƒπŸ»β€β™€οΈπŸ‘πŸ»πŸƒπŸ»β€β™€οΈ

all you have to do it turn up and do what you've been doing, the programme has prepared you, your 2x8 minutes had a 5 minute brisk walk in between, which makes 21 minutes of activity, you get to do one less this time

You can do it... come back and tell us how great you feel just after it.

Slow and steady. If it hurts, slow down again. You’re ready for it, you can do it, so just pace yourself and look forward to that astounding moment when your coach tells you you’ve done it and you can slow down. Better take a hanky - you may well need it at that point !

Trust the program

You can do it! Someone on here posted that they ran for 5 mins then ran nack, and then did it again. I didn't end up doing that, but it helped me cisualise it in small chunks. Run 5 mins - you've done that before. Now do it again and you're halfway. The next 5 minutes is the second last. That helped me. Good luck and enjoy how you feel once you've done it!

I remember thinking that! Trust the programme and enjoy the feeling when you finish that run πŸ˜€

I've got this run next (will be Sunday morning), and i'm actually looking forward to it following everyone's comments on here. You can do this Gracie.. just remember the mantra 'slow and steady wins the day'.

Think how you'll feel when you reach the finish line πŸ‘.. we're rooting for you.

Definitely. You're absolutely ready for this, just believe in yourself and in the programme - it's very clever! Go slow, then slow down a bit more. You need to be able to sing along to your tracks - that kind of slow. It doesn't matter how far you get during that 20 minutes, it's just about keeping moving.

You can do this x

I kept on repeating WK5R2, even though i had graduated but was restarting C25K after injury. Before my run this morning, i read your post and all the replies and that decided that today was WK5R3 and I did it. i thought run for 8 mins as slow as possible and see what happens. Some great advice from the posts above so hoping it all goes well for you too.

Is it wrong that your post made me smile!? πŸ˜‰ Everyone is so freaked out by this run, and everyone manages it eventually AND is amazed that they could. Trust the programme, trust your training so far...there's no pressure, you can try runs more than once! Hydrate, take it nice and slow, you got this! πŸ˜€
