Early morning intervals

I didn’t manage to leave the house quite as early as I would have liked, but still managed to start running at about 6am - after a brisk walk up the hill.

Merlin enjoyed gadding about chasing rabbits, and I enjoyed him doing what he was told and ‘leaving’ the very few dogs (mostly on lead and therefore to be avoided) who were also out early with their owners.

I did manage to pause my tracking app at one point, so I had one extended fast section, but realised quite quickly and managed to complete the remaining ones okay.

I will admit that if I could have got away with Not wearing a sports bra? I would have; I got sunburned on Thursday, despite wearing sunblock, and it did catch it quite a bit.

I really enjoyed marshalling at the East Sussex Maverick, despite the fact that a few people had still brought their dogs to run with them. I had a spot in the shade of the trees, and the honour of telling people that the end wasn’t too far away and that the route was not only downhill all the way, but also mostly shaded.

It did 😊 though I did get a few rolled eyes balls and ‘yeah, right’-s from people, which was my cue for a bit of banter.

Gosh, 6am sounds quite early enough to me 😳, bet it was lovely and cool though! Not wearing a sports bra on sunburn may sound like a good idea but I bet in reality it's a bit too wobbly 😆 Good on you for marshalling 👍
