Hi All
Just a quick check in with the obligatory post-run bling shot from this morning's Ealing Eagles 10k in Gunnersbury Park.
I didn't run as fast as I'd hoped (52.47) but I had a great time - the marshalls and supporters were great, I managed a sprint finish which I always enjoy and the sun was shining in West London. I'd hoped to get closer to 50 minutes and set off with the 50m pacers but they got away from me near the start and I never caught them up again - despite running the first 5k in 25.06, which I was super pleased about.
I got in a nice easy running rhythm, which I enjoyed - it was nice to hear one marshall say I looked "comfortable and relaxed" and another said I was "smooth" but I evidently sacrificed a bit of speed in doing so. I think I might have tired myself out a bit hanging around at the start - I was there far too early.
Still, it was a great run and a real pleasure and I'll definitely be back next year.
Hope everyone's enjoyed their weekend running,
AHSx
