It’s nice to see research backing the inspire those kids to be active school of thought... didn’t know it was more about the mums... should I drag Mrs UNM out of her chair and down to the park? 🤣
Wait until it's cooler...🙃
I think I’m better waiting until hell freezes over... I don’t want the lawyers bills!
You might be surprised - maybe you should try it
Really interesting...I and husband were always active..rock climbing.. walking, cycling etc..and small ones followed the habits from a young age. I gave up serious rock climbing when we had the children..we felt one us, should be safe and around for them. The girls rode..swam and one played rugby..they are still active now...
Really good read...thanks you..
Mine are quite fit, school is pretty good here about that
my eldest has played football since he was 5, he has training now twice a week and a match on Sundays
my daughter is following a cabinetmaking professional qualification and the school make sure that she does core training and light weights to maintain the long hours at the workbench
my youngest was doing gym but has been on crutches twice last year, plus an operation on his hand, so he'll be back to sport in September hopefully if he stops giving me frequent flier miles at the A&E
I think all mum's or dad's feel guilty at one time or another. It's just part of being a parent 😊
Good article. This bit sums it up, really: “Exercise makes me a better person, it improves my mental health and helps to alleviate my stress. So, it's important for me to prioritise my fitness which in turn benefits everyone, especially my family.“
