To celebrate exactly one year after graduating from C25K by running run 3 of week 9, this morning I went into my local Sports Direct Shop and bought a NIKE L91 TECH running cap snr 00, got home, looked in the mirror, yes, I now look like a runner, I now only need to go for a gait analysis, buy the recommended shoes and socks and run my first parkrun next month. ๐ ๐
I now look like a runner: To celebrate exactly... - Couch to 5K
I now look like a runner
Good for you ๐๐.
My cap is a cheapo Aldi but itโs perfect. It even has an in-built light ๐
Iโm getting a freebie one any time now from WW I hoped it would have been delivered today I earned it ๐๐
You can never have too many socks ๐งฆ๐
Dressing for success!
You deserve the new cap, I'm sure you look very dashing
Photo!!!!!!
AlMorr, I think we need a photo of you wearing your new running cap! Sounds good for staying shady in the summer months (or keeping the summer rain out of your eyes!) and I bet it'll make you run faster too... ๐
๐คฃ๐คฃ๐คฃ Naughty boy! Should have had your gait analysis done last year. My cap is nicked from hubby. It is the local whisky distillery branded baseball cap. ๐
Hi MuddledGardener, better late than never, I have decided to make an appointment next Monday for a gait analysis for Wednesday, after the analysis I will buy the shoes recommended by the experts and buy running socks to match.
It's definitely all falling into place...๐
I'm fairly fortunate in that most of my garishly coloured outerwear is provided by the SRU, but I still find excuses to add to my collection of skins, socks and other accoutrements...
Congratulations AlMorr on the Runniversary! Iโm sure you do look every bit a runner! Even without the cap! Itโs a great idea to have marked it with a purchase though!! Enjoy your new look!! ๐คฉ๐คฉโค๏ธ
Well done , you're still running one year after graduation and a nice present to yourself. I've always used a baseball cap since I started c25k as I sweat really badly ๐
I'm sure you look great in the cap! But you can't write a post like this without a photo!!
A photo would be good! I haven't got a running cap....hats slide off my slippery hair ha ha!
I will try and get a photo soon, remember I had some problems getting some of the photos of the ButtercupKid 5K trail, eventually they came up to let you see the trail.
Happy 1st year of running Alan what trainers are you going for? And enjoy parkrun youโre going to love it ๐๐๐๐ปโโ๏ธ๐
Brooks Trainers have been recommended, first of all I will go for a gait analysis and the experts will recommend to me what trainers are best suited, I will also buy running socks to match. Not exactly sure if I will have been for a gait analysis by the time I run my first parkrun, I am not rushing into things. ๐ ๐
Yes I have brooks ghost 11 very comfy and like running on clouds. I bought my running socks from Amazon and they was recommended on this forum they are 5 Pack More Mile New York Cushioned Coolmax Sports Running Socks I think paid ยฃ12.00 including postage yes no need to rush the parkrun but honestly youโre going to have a great time and very addictive ๐
I reckon you always looked like a runner Al ๐๐
I ran a 5K this morning, just slow and steady but the big news was I actually met someone who graduated from C25K recently, I told her that I was also a graduate, she congratulated me and I congratulated her, I first saw her this morning when I was running clockwise around the loch, she was running anti-clockwise so when I completed my 5K I walked clockwise so that I could meet and talk to her while she was still running, she told me she was running 8K so I ran for about two minutes at her pace, that is why I know that she was a graduate, she had one of those heart monitor things on her upper arm by the way.
How fabulous! Is she on here? I hope she's not just graduated as she's running 8K ๐ฎ
