Hello all, just did the dreaded week 5 Run 3 (the 20 min) and, although not easy, found it not as hard as I expected, the last three mins or so where tough but there was no way I was giving up then! I am on a bit of a high right now but I actually for the first time feel like a runner rather than someone who runs. Has anyone else felt like this or is it just my "high" and nonsense to everyone else?
Also, my 20 mins added up to about 2 miles of non stop running, is that about average or should I be aiming a bit higher?
Thanks in advance :0)

Oh, well done bluepiano! Grand feeling (ha - grand piano!) You *know* you can do it now.
Pace is all relative - whatever you can keep going at, and not be so out of breath that you can't talk, and don't get injured, is a better benchmark than anything related to the clock, as our bodies are all so very different - age, gender and fitness makes a vast difference. 10 minute miles for me are way off in the future (maybe never!) - but I've graduated none-the-less!
Congratulations on your 20 minute run. I'll be doing my W5R3 tomorrow and because I jog so slowly I know I won't be anywhere near a 10 minute run, but I'm ok with that. I totally agree with what greenlegs said about pace being relative. Run at the pace/speed that works for you.
Cogratulations! I think everyone has had the post W5R3 high, it does feel like such an achievement in such a short time and when you start W1 you can't quite believe you will ever do it.
You were a runner the very first time you did your very first 1 minute session. Very well done on the dreaded 20!!!! I still remember the high I felt with that run and nothing compares to it. Good stuff!!! Gayle
