This month is just whizzing by...I simply cannot keep pace with it!
I certainly wish I was where this photograph was taken...one of my favourite runs, when i am in France...just a little warmth on my back would be so welcome
I am still on the IC, at least until after next Saturday, so am feeling a tad disgruntled. I need you all to post your runs so I may run with you
The number of folk on the forum increases daily...( the numbers are truly frightening), and although it is tricky to keep up with everyone's progress... it is great to have a little fun post, so we can see who is on which week of the programme, and hopefully it will help everyone to feel more included on the forum.
I apologise if I miss posts or replies, as there really are a lot of us!
We can support, encourage and generally help each other, in a positive and friendly way, with no thought of comparison.
Please remember it doesn't matter if you stay on the same week for a while, that is fine; it is a journey and it really doesn't matter how long it takes, it will be so worth it when you get to the final run.
If you have just Graduated, also, this will be a great place to keep you motivated, and the new Quest on here too...this month it is called..Jaunty June!!!
One of the best things about this weekly chat is that you can talk to each other, support and encourage each other and find folk on the same week or run as you.
So, please do come and join the fun...slip off your running shoes and just let us know how it is going

Go you,, getting on wonderfully... I am dodging rain..but not running
Hi Oldfloss. I have joined you on the IC (again!) π. Having completed W9R1 with a foot niggle, I now have extensor tendonitis, so no running for a few weeks until everything settles down, then Iβll turn my mind to how to get back to it. Itβs annoying as I was only two runs away from graduation, but hey-ho, Iβm in a philosophical mood and it is what it is. In the meantime Iβm browsing the posts to keep in touch with whatβs going on for everyone else. Hope you are back to your runs before too long. Xx
Oh gosh!!! So many folk on the IC.. we should start a club! am sill there for another week!! At least! I have a very long sounding thing, which means a tendon in my foot, overstretched and maybe had a slight tear.. it has improved over three weeks but is still an issue.. so I have been give exercises and have to wear orthotic inserts in my shoes.. got to get used to them this week... and then go back on Saturday!
We can keep each other company and work on our strength and stamina exercise. I am doing the ones alongside Magic 10.. and some I use on YouTube too
Oh, hope it all goes well for you. I also noticed that there seems to be an awful lot of us laid up at the moment....
On a happier note, I heard the sun should be shining soon, so I am hoping to enjoy some enforced relaxation, sitting in the garden. I am usually dashing about so much that I think I have forgotten how to sit still for long, even though I'm supposed to be on the IC (Just do everything standing on one leg instead!!). However, should the rain clouds disappear and the sun puts in an appearance this week, I might just change my mind and chill a bit.....
I got the 5K with warm up and run down for Global Running Day
Got a 5K running (not including warm up)
Had a (very) short run outside to start my treadmill to outside transition
Just haven't gotten Strength and Flex added in yet, I know I must do it, it's just difficult to find the time (don't really want to get up at 5am EVERY day).
I didn't I blinking well didn't!!! I have to wait another week.. go back for another session of physio and assessment... I have been given Orthotic inserts for my shoes..turns out my twinge three weeks ago was more serious than I thought..but because I did what i should have done..it is not as bad as it could have been.. ! Although bad enough!
Thank you for asking
Your goals are fine and if you can fit some Strength and Stamina work.. that will be good.. but yes.. 5, every morning... can be tiring!
It's now 38 weeks since i started c25k and I never thought I'd be running for this length of time as I struggled a bit through the program . I still run 3 times a week and I love running . But like I have said in previous posts I couldn't have done it without the structured plan of c25k and all the great support and advice on here. So thank you πππ
Couldn't agree more with Buddy34! Recently graduated (about a month ago) and yesterday completed my first Parkrun reaching 5K properly for the first time too. As you say - without c25k and the posts and support -there's absolutely no way I'd have achieved this. It really feels like a genuine watershed moment for me. I know I'm still gonna need this as I start this next chapter. Still coming down after yesterday - and ready to make running just part of who I am from now on. Thanks everyone! xx
This week I start the bridge to 10k, although it officially starts tomorrow I started this morning. Iβm excited and nervous in equal measures but Iβm looking forward to challenging myself over the next 8 weeks and seeing how I progress! Very soggy run this morning, got absolutely drenched but I actually donβt mind that, keeps you cool!
Hi all. Creeping back after injury. Itβs a good month for me to do this, as massive family visit here from family who live in California and New Zealand, so fitting runs in as and when. But: they are all runners! So they dash off for a zoom here or a zoom there, and I plod round my own course. Oooops, here they come!
Whatcha Oldflossπ. Just finished week 4 run 3. Planning on repeating week 4 again this week as 2 of the runs were on a tredmill. Ha ha ha ....thanks to you lot now really LOVE being outdoors! Have a great week βΊ
Completed week 7 run 1 at a Parkrun yesterday. So lovely to see everyoneβs progress on here. Funny how soon your idea of a treat becomes buying running gear. Got myself a belt with a pouch and two small water bottles yesterday because my current bottle is too big and I have to hold it.
Go you... and well done... with the warm weather coming that belt will be useful! Many of us have them for long hot runs Water is great to pour over your wrists or the back of your neck!
Completed run one of week eight this morning. Struggling a little due to wearing a neutral shoe when I needed a support shoe. Ankle is still sore and keeps swelling so not running as much as I should be. Slowly getting there but feeling frustrated as graduation is in sight!!
I do now, yes. I am very new to running and was initially told I needed a neutral by a local running shop. However, I then had my gait redone and was told I needed a support shoe. Fingers crossed it settles down!
Just started week 8 on this "re-run". πββοΈ Knee is still ok while running (interestingly it isn't so keen on walking!). Only managing to get out twice a week at the moment, but that is better than not at all!!
Fingers crossed you are back out there soon Oldfloss! π€
W8R2 done today, can't believe I only have 4 more runs until I graduate! Another damp run (it's not stopped raining for weeks!) and I'm amazed I've gone out in the rain and just got on with it! Wondering what to do next to keep me on track after graduation as I think it's partly the structure of C25K that's kept me going.
Hello!! Did my first run this morning after a physio enforced 4 weeks off. So I repeated W5R1 (the last run I did four weeks ago) and surprised myself at how well it went, after such a break from it. So onwards and upwards! That 20min run is looming....(And can I ask, whatβs the IC?!? π³)
Week 3 run 2 completed. Finding it tough, my calf muscles and my back start to winge a bit towards the end but just about keeping going. And it is nice to be out in the greenery although dogs and bikes without bells add entertainment....
