The numbers of folk on the forum increase daily.. and although it is tricky to keep up with everyone's progress... it is great to have a little fun post, so we can see who is on which week of the programme, and hopefully it will help everyone to feel more included on the forum.
We can support, encourage and generally help each other, in a positive and friendly way, with no thought of comparison.
Please remember it doesn't matter if you stay on the same week for a while, that is fine; it is a journey and it really doesn't matter how long it takes, it will be so worth it when you get to the final run.
If you have just graduated, also, this will be a great place to keep you motivated, and there is always the Quest on the Bridge to 10k forum also, for Graduates., and the new Quest on here too...launched last month !
One of the best things about this weekly chat is that you can talk to each other, support and encourage each other and find folk on the same week or run as you.
So, please do come and join the fun.... Let us know how it is going

Quiet week for me this week, last weeks swim took a bit more out of me than I thought it had so just had a reduced load exercise week, ready to get back to HM training this week.
I'll be doing W8R1 tomorrow and then we go on holiday midweek. Just wondering how people deal with having time off and then getting back to it... do you repeat your last week or carry on where you left off? So last run before going will be 8/4 then next will be 20/4 so almost 2 weeks off 😕
I’ve just done W7R1 this morning, it was probably my best run yet as I felt a lot of things seemed to fall into place, although my pace was slower it wasn’t as much of a struggle, my breathing felt better, legs felt more comfortable, a really enjoyable run even if it was 5.30am on a misty, damp Monday morning 😂
I am on week 9 😁. I have 2 runs to go and feel ridiculously excited about graduation. Ran on uncut lumpy grass surface yesterday.......won't be doing that again!
I did run 1 of week 5 yesterday morning. I will be doing the next 2 runs on Wed and Fri. Planning to start week 6 a week today. I am not in a hurry. Lol. The only thing that might hamper it is I think I am getting plantar fascitis again!!
I do Wk6r1 today. I feel like after running 20 minutes last run, I can do anything although I’ve read a lot about this run catching people out. I find this all so exciting ... 😁
dread303 you are at the same stage as me. I and my faithful spaniel are just back from run 1 week 5 . Hoping to complete the other two runs this week. I go away on holiday late April so the week of 29 April should be when I complete the 9 weeks. Wonder if the foreign folk where I am going are ready for the sight of a Lycra clad body slowly jogging along the village road. Guess I could give a few early risers a fright!
Week 5 run 2 is my next one. I've almost caught up with where I was before I went away for a month. Really annoyed with myself that I forgot to put my running kit in the car before going to work, so it looks like the gym is out tonight. However, maybe time for me to make my first appearance in bulging lycra at dusk? Like Myzinnyboy, is the world ready?
Of course the world is, you will find no one gives you a second look unless they are running themselves then you might get a cheery smile. Have fun. Rfc x
Just done week 5, run 2, which went well. Got the big twenty minutes on Wednesday and if I'm still standing at the end of it, I'll be starting week 6 on Friday.
I don't understand why it's such a big jump from 8 minutes to 20, but from my experience so far, it seems like most of the barriers are in my mind, so I'll just go for it.... S l o w l y.
I did! It was fine?! I found it easier than I expected. So strange considering how I was huffing and puffing in week 1, and that was just last month. This C25K really works!
I was surprised it was more of a challenge then I thought especially after running 20mins last run. Was panicking I wouldn’t complete it I suppose my cold didn’t help.
Now a tad worried about the other weeks especially as I signed up for race of life hope I finished the program by then!
I have had a ‘difficult’ few months (I am being polite), injury followed by virus which I could not get rid of. I have probably run for only half the weeks of this year, and it has been a real slog with slowing times and unable to get back to level I was at last November/December.
I revisited this community on Saturday morning, and you all inspired me so much that I was up, the kit went on, and I was off!
Not a great pace, but managed to run for 35 minutes. Went back to the final week of the C25K app, and used the playlist I used at the time. It was a blast from the recent past, and I remembered how hard it was then, and how it was so much easier now and It.Felt.So.Good!
So thank you all for providing such huge, wonderful amounts of inspiration, I couldn’t have done it without you! XX
Well done getting up for then, I have never done a run that early, I have got up for an event that time, I am sure it sets you up really well though. Happy running. Rfc x
After graduating a few weeks ago, I managed my quickest 5km yesterday afternoon in 33.43. Shin splints are playing up today though so really looking forward to my physio appointment on Thursday.
All being well, next stop is to get over my Park Run fear!
I'm at w7 tomorrow, I feel really good about the progress I've made.
I run on a walking trail and grass, recently purchased recommended trail shoes I was running in walking boots up to then. My right ankle (my dodgy one ) is really sore after my last run. Has anyone got any advice?
New shoes can take a little time to bed in. I would imagine going from boots to shoes will of been a shock for your ankles as the boots would of fully supported them and the shoes will rely on you ankle strength. Rest it for extra days if needed and look into some ankle strengthening moves to help with the transition.
