Running in the rain

Graduated a couple of weeks again but I have found keeping going this week a challenge due to weather. Considered joking a gym so I could use a treadmill but resisted, got soaked and surprisingly enjoyed it!

It is strange. Walking in the rain is not good but running in the rain is great fun! I have had a couple of runs in the winter, with hard, freezing rain driving horizontally into my face. that were not so good- but otherwise there is much to recommend rain running :)

I have only run on the treadmill once and did not like it - got bored and the run seemed to take for ever - love outside, including the rain - actually helps keep you cool!! Wind is a bit more challenging though as it slows you down, but the buzz after it is amazing!!!

Somebody said on this forum I think that "skin is waterproof", which I quite like. I very recently completed the three week 9 runs in the rain and this was the first time I'd ever run in the rain - I actually quite enjoyed it, it really kept me cool and was exhilarating.
