Week 1 run 1

Well 5months (!) after downloading the app I just managed to complete the first run. I never knew 60 seconds was so long! I wanted to give up just over half way through as my legs felt like lead and I realised I would probably benefit from a puff of ventolin. Maybe I ran too fast at the start, will try slower next time. I’ve never felt I’ve been able to run it’s sort of a weird waddle, anyhow I’ve tried. I’m in my late 40’s 3 stone overweight. The last 2 years I have walked a charity marathon length walk overnight, not planning on doing that again but time for a new challenge to get fitter. Sorry for waffling. Good luck to all the other newbies out there, if I’ve managed the first one you can too!

Welcome to the forum and C25K Allymally1, just take all the runs slowly, you can repeat any runs or week's if you wish, onwards and upwards 🏃 👍 😊

I have also done one run, I did it on Sunday & am planning my second today, but it’s raining & I’m making excuses. Hopefully I’ll go out soon & just get it done. I struggled the first time but enjoyed the feeling of achievement once I was finished! Best of luck with you C25K.

well done starting the programme and your journey to a fitter you👍

best advice I had on starting was relax, just take it slow and steady, its not a race and focus on each run one at a time dont look too far ahead🐢😊
