Ventolin

Does anyone find that ventilin does hardly nothing for there copd not asthma as I believe it is mainly for asthma,I don't have asthma, I have emphysema and I think bronchitis and don't know why I'm given ventilin as I say it hardly helps does anyone else find this answers appreciated

Is it still possible to get Ventolin inhaler prescribed by doctor.

Ordered Ventolin and have got salamol. Ventolin works very well for me but is salamol the same. Just wondered if anyone has problems with the salamol as a friend of mine says it doesn’t act as quickly on her and she is trying to speak about it with her Doctor.

My query is if I'm already taking 800/6 of fostair and am still having to take ventolin some days, how is swapping to the 100/6 dose, potentially 8 times a day so ultimately the same dose I'm on now, but not allowed ventolin going to improve my asthma??!

It feels lighter than the ventolin and I get the idea more might be going in. Anyway. Anyone else had this?

My history was old school 2 puffs ventolin before Qvar twice a day. I was told at my asthma review that I needed to reduce to just Qvar only using Ventolin as required. I agreed but ended up using ventolin more. Asthma Nurse changed me to Symbicort.

This never happened ever with Ventolin. Then I realised it causing me more problems than cure. So I went back to doctors and then they changed to prescribing "Salbutamol", the Chemist was always giving me Ventolin when they see "Salbutamol" written on prescription.

Using my ventolin a lot so does anyone have a similar experience pls?

I have been on Fostair as a preventer for about 8 years and Salbutamol/Ventolin for over 30 years so am a bit wary of change. I wondered if anyone else had had this change and how it went? I would be grateful for any feedback.

(Have memories of Ventolin being changed to Salamol which never seemed as effective) Has anyone else been changed to Luforbec and how are you finding it?

I take acetylcysteine daily with fluticasone and Ventolin daily. I've seen a respiratory physio and do lung clearance daily. Does anyone have any experience of this or advice? Fear of the future is beginning to creep into my thoughts.

hi ive had asthma for years im 55 and yes im ashamed to say a heavy smoker,however after having a bad chest and being on fostair ,ventolin and prednisolone its finally and thankfully made me desperate to quit my anxiety is terrible at the moment which i also know can effect breathing ive been looking

I don't suppose anyone knows of a source for Ventolin nebules? I know it's not likely available without a prescription in the UK but the person needing them just can't face another sparring match with the GP. Please PM as per the guidelines. Thanks in advance.

I use Fostair and Ventolin but these and using a spacer cause sore splits on my lips has anyone else had this, I have tried every lip balm etc but I always have a sore mouth x

Hi, I have been using Fostair and then was prescribed Montelukast and my Asthma was well controlled, I have for the last couple of months felt Asthma symptoms at night and have had to use my Ventolin.

Later that nite when I realised I just took one puff of my Ventolin. The nx morning up & at it I started to wonder why I was not out of breathe? So, as a little experiment, day by day, I have not taken my main inhaler for the last 5 days to see how I go?

Prescription finally arrived at pharmacy on Saturday and they said they had to order them, as they were out of stock (of ventolin?!?). As it was already ‘processed’ I couldn’t take script elsewhere. Told me to return Monday to collect (as closed Sundays).
