Last night a shared a little emotional moment after a run that I thought would be beyond me. whilst I felt a bit silly at the time I am really touched and overwhelmed by the support here.
I think the modern world gives social media so much bad press, mostly deserved outright now I couldn't have had any better support.

That is just as it should be... this is a special place. We are a running family... all shapes, sizes, ages, abilities and lifestyles... we encourage, support, empathise, and sympathise, cajole and commiserate...
Wherever we are on our running adventures.. we all need each other..... and for many it keeps us going.... I love it!

I absolutely hate social media and it deserves the bad press. I am not on any other social media platforms other than twitter for Parkrun info which is always so positive and this amazing forum which I love.

I also absolutely hate social media and only have twitter that I don’t use often and this forum. I love this forum because it is just real, we aren’t competing with each other over who is the fastest or looks the best , we’re all on our own journey and it’s lovely to feel the support on here .

This is different social media. No one wants to be a celebrity, we all support and care about each other, encourage, share our experiences and are ticked pink by our fellow VRBs achievements. Floss is right we are a family. Consider me your honorary aunt.
And an emotional out flow is not unusual here.
