Thank you. Thank you. Thank you.

First 5k completed on Saturday. Very very slow, at 51:58, but did it none the less.

My experienced runner brother supported me through it.

Felt like a marathon to me but so so happy to do it. Can't actually believe it.

Thank you to everyone who gave me advice and support.

  • Well done! :) Speed will come with time as you build up your stamina. Have you graduated? I don't see your badge.

  • Thank you for the reply and advice SlowWorm.

    Just one more thing!!

    How do I graduate? LOL

  • I think Millsie-J has answered about the badge.

One more thing: we slow runners actually run further at my parkrun because we are behind 800+ people at the starting line! Though they somehow take that into consideration when calculating the times.

  • A park run will be next challenge .

    Thank you for your support.

  • Well done you! A slow 5k is as far as a fast 5k let us not forget!

You did really well. I am a slow runner and i know it is hard to stay motivated when so many others are so much quicker. No matter, its the same finish line! We are runners 🏃🏻‍♀️🍾⭐️🎓🏅

  • Thank you Jacs. That thought did actually cross my mind on Saturday, that going quicker does not make the distance any shorter! But at least I now have a time to beat! Thank you.

  • And we are both quicker than those on the couch every single run! Enjoy😀🏃🏻‍♀️💪🏻

Ps scroll up a bit to the Graduation badge April post from Rfc, click on and the badge fairies will work their magic.

  • Thank you. The fairies have been!

  • That looks great!

  • CONGRATULATIONS! :) :) :) :) :)

  • Oh thank you. Am so happy to have come this far.

    Never thought it would happen.

Hope all is well with you and your new regime!

  • Thank you so so much!

I really cannot believe that I did it.

But the support on here is so good.

Knowing that folk have been through it and then they take the time to help you out.

    Fantastic !
