Hi all,

Just wanted to say I just completed run one of my first week. It’s the first time I’ve run in years but fitness and health levels meant I decided to give it a go! Seeing lots of positive posts is certainly helping!

Congratulations to you Hufflepuffandproud on starting C25K with run 1 of week 1, welcome to the forum, you will enjoy the next 9 weeks, but you can take longer than that if you wish to, onwards and upwards to run 2 of week 1.

Be very careful however - as it can become addictive!!!!

That was me last week! It’s tough the first session I nearly died 😂 I have done a further 3 sessions, feeling good physically and mentally. This website is amazing for encouragement 👍

I wish you the best on your journey. I was addicted from the very first run and I hope you love it as much as I do.

Make sure you read the faq pages and blogs, there is so much good information to help you along the way.

Welcome - download some good running tracks and zone out for 30 mins - does wonders for your mental and physical health - plus running in the rain is the best....

Congratulations on taking the hardest step - getting started. You will amaze and astound yourself over the next few weeks. Just be warned - this may well change your life.

Ps - not sure a Gryffindor should be encouraging a Hufflepuff! :)

Thank you! Completed run 2 today, didn’t feel like facing the rain though and did it in the gym- totally different experience to run 1 but still good!

Well done on restarting your journey 👍🏻! Yes, we all try and help and encourage each other as when we can (there’s so many here and with normal lives to lead too, it’s impossible, unfortunately, to reply etc to everyone as much as we’d love to) ☹️🤪

Best thing I can suggest is to post whenever you want to celebrate an achievement, feel you need some support, encouragement etc, and someone will be about to help x

Hello and welcome Hufflepuffandproud.

In March I stood where you are now. My health and fitness was not good then either. I now run happily for thirty minutes, three times a week. Enjoy your journey.
