First time here folks, decided to give this programme a go and just finished my first run of week 1. Iโ€™ll be honest, Iโ€™m nearly dying ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚ but Iโ€™ll persevere and aim for week 9. Looking forward to seeing everyone as they progress.

Iโ€™m always up for a chat or if anyone lives local then Iโ€™ll gladly meet up for a run and I promise Iโ€™ll try to keep up with you lol

Good luck guys

Lol, not sure if that photo is of a man who has just ran run 1 of week 1, not the first time someone has thought that they would die after run 1, you won't feel that way after run 2, just take all the runs slowly and keep ridgidly to the program, no running on consecutive days, good luck for the next 9 weeks but remember that you can repeat any runs or week's if you wish. ๐Ÿ˜Š ๐Ÿƒ

Hi Ashley I was the same as you first week first run I couldnโ€™t wait for the 60sec to finish so I could walk. Just trust the program it really works my next run is W9R1 which is 5 min walk 30 min run 5 min walk and I can carry on your endurance and stamina will improve like mine has the most important thing to to hydrate before during and after and stretch before and after to avoid any muscle pull or strain. But youโ€™re doing more than the person sat down on the couch outside running is the best ๐Ÿ˜‰๐Ÿƒ๐Ÿปโ€โ™‚๏ธ

Thanks fella, I did forget to stretch so Iโ€™m a bit stiff and sore now but Iโ€™ll do it right Wednesday and hopefully feel better

You will be a bit stiff until youโ€™re body gets use to it and if youโ€™re fatigued just slow down a little remember itโ€™s not a race do that and youโ€™re on the right track ๐Ÿ˜‰ and no worries fella ๐Ÿ˜‰๐Ÿƒ๐Ÿปโ€โ™‚๏ธ

Enjoy your journey

I'm a newbie too. An overweight 50+ person with dodgy knees, ankles, hips etc ๐Ÿ™„

Got my 2nd "run" tomorrow.

The best advice on here was the "slow jogging Japanese method". Someone more technically adept than me may re post it, or google it.

Just keep going at your own pace. ๐Ÿ‘
