First time runner, fat not fit.

I started running 7 weeks ago following a plan from a running mag, how to run a mile non-stop which I completed this morning in 17 mins 7 secs. Well I wouldn’t call it running it’s more of a slow plod but hopefully that will improve with time. Hubby got me into running he’s currently set himself a goal of running a half marathon a month for one year he’s just completed number 7. He walks with me for moral support and is a brill coach. Pushing me through the mental walls you hit as he’s been there himself. We’ve worked out I can start at week 5 and go on from there. Onwards and upwards.

So much awesomeness in one post!!

Well done for getting started and getting to a point where you can start at week 5!! it's great you have moral support with you as well as here. Personally the mental side is tougher than the physical.

Your hubby has an amazing goal. Is it a personal challenge or for a cause?

Thank you, it’s a personal challenge, he had until recently a very mentally challenging job and he uses running as a way to empty his mind from the stresses of the job. X
