Ok just to be clear, I don’t run in neither pj’s or jeans 😆 but that’s how I would describe today’s run. Much much comfier like a pair of checked fleecy pjs and not w8r2’s run of death / fancy tight jeans! I’m definitely more of a pj girl (ps people that where non elasticated clothing at home are weird! Just saying 😂)
Overall a much steadier run but not without it’s challenges. First 5mins-10mins I had lead pipe legs which was a bit of a struggle. I did eventually find my stride around halfway and this stayed for the rest of run. Mostly just glad I didn’t feel too breathless at the of my run. 😁 4k in 28mins. I’ll take that.

Ahh you did the yoga post...I was going to reply to that earlier and got distracted! I’ll reply properly but it’s a YES from me. It’s ace, I love it! More men should give it a go x
I’m going to just call you Irish if I may 🙂....from reading some of your posts, this does surprise me!! 😆 By pyjamas, do you mean thermals!? Pyjamas in my head are quite baggy!
love the analogy! Comfy pj run vs tight jeans and heeled boots run??
I have to agree with you on the elasticated waist at home ... but shock horror, some of my running clothes are so comfy I put them on when lounging around! Currently wearing shorts which only see the outside world when it's really too hot for anything larger, and loafing around doing housework in them
Absolutely right!! Anything elastic goes! Fleecy loungers on cold nights, joggers for normal weather, leggings with something smarter but when you have ‘familiar’ guests like family coming over and shorts when it’s roasting! ‘Outdoor clothes’ only happen indoors if I’m trying to impress! You know you’re held in high esteem if you come to my house and I’m in ‘outdoor clothes’ 😆😆😆
Hi, I’m using an app called Strava it’s free to download on your smartphone. There are other free apps too which I’m sure other people use and would recommend but that’s the one I’ve got. X
Thank you I use my fit bit but because I’ve got it on all day i have to check it and then check it again after the run I’ve literally just finished week 3 but I might have to do it again I don’t see how I can do week 4 😬
No problem! Don’t go back, go forward! How do you know you can’t do it when you haven’t done it?? I read your post about hurty calves. Just take an extra day’s rest if you need it. Try week 4 and just take it slow and steady. You might surprise yourself! X
Hmm I know I’m not very good at this confidence thing :/ I was talking to my partner and he said how well I’ve done and even though I always finish and say it’s hard I’ve still done it you’re right I should at least try week 4. Due to do it on Tuesday so maybe I will try then and see I don’t wana feel like a failure if I can’t do it though :/ yeah calves hurting is a major thing at mo - they burn so bad! Thank you xxx
More experienced runners should be able to provide you with advice relating to calves! I’m not experienced enough yet to confidently make suggestions. As for week 4. Give it your best shot, you have nothing to lose. As you have completed week 3 there is no point re-doing. Have a go nobody is watching and we’ll all be here rooting for you xx
PJ bottoms when you get through the door. Put it there 👊 I think I actually read somewhere that it's illegal NOT to change into PJ bots when you get home 🤣🤣 And well done Missy xx
