A Short Ode on Week Five, Run Two

I am slower than a tortoise

Who is shuffling to the vet

And tho’ today was wild and windy

And I’m back home soaking wet

I ran a full eight minutes

Then I managed it again

But my glasses they need wipers

If I will run in the rain

My grin could not be wider

And inside I’m feeling great

I’m determined I can finish

I am going to graduate! 🙂

Gotcha being all poetic again. Robbie Burns obviously made a great impression on you at school! Guess it's still dreich up there.....

Glad you are enjoying week 5. The next run is the big one and it's great. You'll smash it and I can't wait to read the ode to week 5 run 3!

Love it ! It just needs a tune to become the 5:2 anthem 😄 A lot of spec wearers recommend baseball caps for rainy days, if that helps ?

Good idea- though I worried it might blow away this morning! Happy running!

Tie a pretty scarf round it, like an early motorist ? Have fun yourself 😀

Good post and poem from you, once you run run 3 of week 5, I hope you will write another poem about that run. 🏃 😊
