Was itching to get out today but because of the rain I didn't manage it till tonight. First time running in the evening, and after my tea (although it was a couple of hours later) and in the rain! A night of firsts! Anyway, I managed it, not only that but I enjoyed it and even picked up speed for the final 60 seconds!
Best run so far! Now only need to do the terrifying 20 minutes of run 3!
Happy running!

Well done, Fentaz42! It sounds from your post as if week 5 isn't all that bad, I'm due to start it on Thursday, so I won't dread it as much now. I usually run in the evening as well, a couple of hours after dinner like you, but it's getting darker earlier so that might have to change in the next month or so.
Sounds like you're really getting your teeth into this running thing Fentaz, fair play to you. Try not to fear the 20 mins, it should push you, but not break you and I think you may be pleasantly surprised. remember that the program has been building you up to this all along and very soon I'm sure you will be graduating with honours. Good luck to you
Hello Fentaz42 , sounds like you are doing great !
Don't fear " the twenty" ...it's not that bad when you get to it ( I think the thought of it is worse) and just as Ryansson has said, this is what each week has been building up to and you've coped with it all so far. You are ready and I'm sure you will do it.
Well done fentaz42. I finished it too last night. Was ok for the first run, but slowed down at the end of the second run. Will be trying the 20 minutes run on Thursday. Kind of dreading it, but will give it a good go. Just the thought that I actually ran for 8 minutes seems a miracle when I remember how hard I thought week one was. Good luck for your next run.
Thanks Louloubelle! I know that feeling of disbelief! I mean, how on earth am I managing to run! Still apprehensive (as always!) about the 20 minute run but we'll do it! Good luck for Thursday, remember to let us know how you get on!
Carolecal is right. The 20 minutes isn't as bad as you think it is going to be. When Laura said I'd done 5 minutes, it felt like longer. Got to 15 and thought surely I haven't been running that long?? Two minutes to go and it was then that I started to feel it. Concentrated on breathing and the rhythm of my running and the next thing Laura was telling me I'd done it!!!
You will feel so good when you've done it and wonder what you were frightened of. My philosophy is that I'm doing it for me, so if I need to repeat a run or a whole week it doesn't matter because I will get better and I will graduate when I'm ready.
