Week five run 3 is looming!

Now is it just me or did others who have already done this freak out when they noticed a jump from 8 minutes to 20! I’m sure it’s doable and I have every faith in the programme but OMG!!!! I will be doing this on Saturday and looking forward to it already :)

It's all in the head. Go out drinking on Friday night - a hangover slows the mind down and those 20 minutes will go by with less mental effort. ;)

Good luck!

It sounds like a huge leap, but it is doable. The programme has been building you up to get you ready for it, so trust the podcasts and yourself. You can do it! Happy running :)

Yup I was terrified of Wk5R3, even running R2 twice as an avoidance strategy! But just like you will, I made it round, and the OMG!!!! will be at how amazing and chuffed you'll feel when you've done it!

WIll be thinking of you on Saturday - let us know how you get on and good luck!

Remarkably well, the first 5 minutes were hard, by 10 minutes I'd have happily gone through childbirth again but I kept going and the last 5 minutes felt a lot easier than the rest. If I can do it anyone can, good luck! :)

I should have done W5R3 last weekend, but I had guests to visit for a long weekend and couldn't get out for a run. I resumed the routine today, but wasn't sure jumping straight in to the big W5R3 run after almost a week's break was such a good plan, so repeated W5R2 (not procrastinating, honest!). No more excuses now, though, so it's the big one next for me.

I did W5R3 on Tuesday and it wasn't as hard as I thought it would be. The work you've done up till now really puts you in great shape to complete the 20 minutes. I know it seems a big jump, but as Laura would say, "you can do it!".
