And in true Oscar fashion, I would now like to thank....
My husband- for encouraging me throughout despite the alarm going off at silly o’clock some days.
Shock Absorber sports bras for what has been -quite literally - an uplifting experience.
Laura - the unseen running buddy and mentor who got me through the past nine weeks. ( I didn’t mean the things I said....)
All the failed Eurovision musicians whose music ends up on these podcasts - you got me through but I am extremely grateful for never having to listen to the Julie song again. Ever.
And finally, to all my virtual running buddies on this forum- without you and your likes, comments, hints and laughs, I would not have found this experience half as much fun.
Happy running y’all! 🙂🙂🙂🙂

Thank you! Feeling fab! I made a little video for my family when I finished so they are waking up to mum’s “big reveal” - am loving their reactions! Happy running 🙂
It’s the most annoying ear worm of a tune......thank you! Now I just have to figure out how to do the graduate thing....that might be harder than the running 🤔
Congratulations!! Time to celebrate 🎉🎉🎉 and thanks to you too, your posts have always made me smile as we were going more or less through the same runs 😄
Do, please consolidate first.. we recommend a couple of weeks of consolidation, before you try the C25K+ podcasts,, it is up to you of course, but they are challenging and can be tricky if tried too soon...Historically many folk have tried them too soon and found them very disheartening
Short runs, new routes, 30 minute runs and the lovely long, slower runs are a good pattern for consolidation... and it is the long slow runs that eventually give us the distances we want... and speed to if we are lucky
Oh thank you for that - I didn’t realise and would have dived in to the next series. Will take your advice and keep going with Laura and the 30 minute sessions....even if it means having to listen to the dodgy tunes again... a small price to pay for achieving my 5k goal 🙂
Thank you! And yes, I shall stay on the forum - the support has been amazing. How else would I have known to consolidate and not go running off - literally- to the next series?! Happy running!
Great achievement Speedma 👏🏅😃. Enjoy the buzz you don't have to listen to the music, I'm consolidating with a walk and then running with a 30mins podcast so I know my time 📻🔊
