Shorter distance?!

I just did my first run of week 3, I feel really good doing it - strong and confident. Only issue is my distance was about half a kilometre shorter than what I was averaging in week 2, should I be concerned about that??

I wouldn't sweat it, the important thing is to be running. Distance and speed are nice but not the most important part of the programme

Totally agree, distance means nothing - C25K encourages you to run regularly at “your” pace and distance. The main thing is that you are here and you keep going, as you move on you will increase the distance naturally because you will be running for longer. I remember thinking I could walk quicker than running and felt bad about it. Someone on this forum told me not to worry and weeks later I can confirm they were correct. Keep going and you will improve on the journey 😀🏃‍♂️

No, you don't need to worry about the the time you are running, just take all the runs slowly and keep ridgidly to the program, no running on consecutive days, onwards and upwards to run 2 of week 3

Welcome to the forum and well done on getting started.

This guide to the plan is essential reading healthunlocked.com/couchto5...

Week 3 is the shortest duration in the entire plan.........hence less distance.

Enjoy your journey
