Just about to start week 8 & am wondering how I am going to make 5k as I only seem to cover about 3.5 k in 30 mins

Most people graduate running 30 minutes rather than 5k, that can come later. Don’t worry about your speed at the moment just concentrate on completing the programme. 😊

You are right on track don’t worry. That’s about the right distance for now. It’s about running 30 mins continuously for graduation. I graduated end of May and still haven’t done it in 30. But I can run 9km without stopping!! 😬😬

You don' t have to run 5K... the name of the programme is an oxymoron...it is catchy ... :)

Most folk never make 5K in 30 minutes... ever:) But they are awesome runners.

Irish-John put up a post about this with a survey a while back!

So relax. stop worrying and just enjoy the runs:)

I’ve started week 8 too but am blissfully ignorant of how far I run. Apps have given me 0.3 miles or even 16.4k for similar runs. Guess my gps I’d flakey. I did want to know - just once - for reference but in the end decided it was always going to be 28 minutes more than I’d ever run before. Let’s just celebrate that. Well done. See you at graduation.

So glad to hear it's not necessary to run the 5k by the end of week 9, I'm only on w/k 6 run2 but feel so far away from 5k....realky enjoying the trying tho 😁
