W5R3 eat my dust!

Well what can I say?

In my best Michael Caine voice;

"She's only gone and bluddy done it!!" πŸ…

I am on cloud nine. I have never run for a full 20 minutes in my life until today and I did it! By the age of 13 I was a master of forging my mother's signature and had a plethora of legitimate medical terminology so running at school for me was mainly a spectator sport. πŸ˜‚

It really was a case of being mentally prepared for today as thanks to the plan, my body was. πŸ’ͺπŸ™Œ

I never thought I would say this but this run has been my favourite so far.....

Off to reward myself with some funky leggings that i will probably never wear but feel i should own!

Congrats. W5r3 was the first time I said thats my favourite run so far, I've since said it twice more. Be careful of the first 2 runs if week 6 a lot of people have been caught out by going back to intervals after doing that 20min run. I read all about their troubles and really took it easy and found because of heeding the warnings I was prepared. You should totally put your funky leggings on as a badge of honour.

Thanks!

I've not seen the posts about w6r1. Sounds like i will be taking it extra slow! Is it hard to go back to intervals after that 20 minute run?

One day i will wear my funky leggings with pride but for now I am just happy to stroke them when they arrive πŸ˜‚ maybe on graduation......

I didn't find them harder but I was prepared from what other people had said. I slowed it down

Hey running twin! Go us! Didn't I say we would do this?!

Are you as stiff as me now? πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚

I just got up after sitting at the computer for an hour......think the dogs may have to be walked earlier rather than later at this rate.....work can wait! πŸ˜‚

Congratulations Lindsey! πŸŽ†βœ¨ Such a great feeling! Next stop graduation! πŸπŸ†πŸ˜„

Great job. There’s something about just running that’s magical. I now do some intervals again, but they’re never my favourite run of the week. Slow and steady into week six and you got this.

Absolutely fantastic! It is an amazing moment - twenty blooming minutes!! You’ve earned those funky leggings!

Thank you DiscoRunner! And thank you for the slow running link you sent in my first week.....it has literally kept me going during these longer runs!

Oh I’m so glad! Loved your faking letters - I faked an asthma attack to get out of running at school. Look at us now!!!! x

Congratulations on completing run 3 of week 5, that is a milestone run with C25K. Onwards and upwards to week 6 run 1 but be careful about that run as it catches out some people with the interval walks and runs πŸƒ

Why not wear those funky leggings you own at a parkrun near where you live.

I treated myself to a pair of funky leggings as a graduation present to myself and they make me so happy when I put them on. Don't save them for later, start enjoying them straight away! You can treat yourself to a running top to go with for graduation!
