Yes me, I did it!! Who'da thought it??
It was slow, sooooo slooooow. I started slowly and then went slower still, but I'm fine with that as I know it's something I can work on as my running journey progresses. I ran on the treadmill today, and my husband, who'd been playing tennis, was waiting for me outside the gym with a friend, who kindly said that I didn't even look too red (she didn't know that I'd already washed my face and taken the redness down a few levels π). Think hubby is rather proud of me, as, I have to say, am I.
I'm really enjoying this journey. I never, never thought I would say that. I've always been firmly in the "I can't run" camp, even through the first few weeks of the programme. I know I'm very young in my life as a runner (if less so in my actual life π), but it's giving me a real buzz every time I notch up another run and achieve a little bit more.
What can I say, I think I'm hooked! Come on week 6, I can do this!!!
