Hi there, I have just completed my 20 min run in week 5....and I can’t believe I did it!! I think the programme and this forum is amazing. I have gone from being a reluctant runner who couldn’t believe 60 seconds was SO LONG in week 1 to someone who is actually enjoying running outside in public 😱!! I am still very slow but loving the programme and my own personal transformation. All the tips and advice on this forum has helped me so much - thank you!
Week 5 Run 3 - done!!: Hi there, I have just... - Couch to 5K
Week 5 Run 3 - done!!
Well done it’s such an amazing feeling to start off at week one and never thinking you can do it but you are and can wear that badge I am a runner
I'm just into week 5 and have done run 1
Terrifying thought about run 3....it's good to read your post
I'm a lapsed graduate but three years is a long time and my legs feel like lead still.
Drink plenty of water, including on rest days. And try running slower. I know, I know ... everyone always thinks they’re the slowest in the world, but I bet you can go slower! Google the YouTube video of Japanese slow running technique and see how to do it. It’s good, says the Tortoise to the Hare 🐢
Well done. I’ve just done mine. It’s an amazing feeling isn’t it? X 5 weeks ago I struggled at 60 seconds. Now we have both done 20min without walking. Keep it up I know you can do this x
Welcome to the forum and well done on your progress.
This guide to the plan is essential reading healthunlocked.com/couchto5... ( although I suspect you may have read it already)
Enjoy your journey
Congratulations ChocolateSpaniel on running run 3 of week 5, that is a milestone run with C25K, onwards and upwards to week 6 run 1 but be careful about that run as it catches out some people with the interval walks 🚶 and runs 🏃 😊
