Just a little bit proud of myself...

Who am I kidding? Very proud of myself for getting up and going out. It would have been so easy to listen to all of the excuses to stay in bed; it's cold outside, it's gloomy, you're tired, you ate too late, and too much, last night, you could roll over and go later, etc. I hauled my ar*e out of bed, dragged on my running gear, headphones on, dog by my side, and headed out. It wasn't a pretty run. The winds usually blow cold on these northern isles and this morning they were a touch more cold than nicely chilling. Running into a headwind all the way round wasn't kind but having completed my run it makes the finishing all the sweeter.

Happy running whatever the weather ☺️

Well done on getting up and out good and early. I’m an early morning runner myself and I know if I don’t go as soon as I wake up I won’t go at all! Also my faithful spaniel looking at me with those big eyes ensure I go!

I’m on holiday at the moment, so no spaniel, but I packed my running gear and I’ve been out early here in Cyprus too. Looking forward to running again on the west coast with my spaniel next week!

I love the early mornings. The world is fresh and new. Animals and birds don't seem so wary and I've seen meteorites when I've been running in the winter months. Enjoy your holiday and well done for running while you're there

Early morning is definitely the best time of the day - even in the rain! Definitely sets you up for the day. Well done!
