Ok... great job surviving so far! Pushing our limits should be done very rarely... extending our limits and running within them is the way to go. This plan fractures the 10% addition rule a couple of times during the 9 weeks, putting more on that may not end well. You got this now, run it nice and safely.
Thanks for the tips and encouragement , but it isnt a one-size-fits all plan is it? I am quite fit physically anyway...plus I'm 6 foot and have a longer stride than the average Jane. Which probably puts me at an advantage to be fair..exception to the rule perhaps?
I actually started on wk 3, and finding it easy...I haven't had any problems or aches so far!
Many have figured they are the exception to the rule... lots have been injured because of it. Itโs not just this plan, itโs distance running in general. Itโs your call of course
This may go on for a while ๐...I'm not singling myself out, yet still injury and pain free.
I knew I was opening myself to ppl warning me of the risk of injury...and of course if you knew me, no and dont do that, make me even more determined ๐
Thank you ๐ I didn't mean to sound full of myself.. Six months ago I struggled to even get out of the house!!! So it's a huge feat for me in retrospect ๐
Hiya great that you have a lot of enthusiasm for the program. I don't wish to put a downer on you but please be careful about running longer than the plan suggests. It has been carefully designed to stretch you enough to build endurance whilst minimising the risk of injury. I would hate for you to miss out because you get injured.
Enjoy the runs as they build towards graduation ๐
