I did W4R2 at 5am this morning, I've been doing previous runs in the back streets so people don't see meš but today I braved the main road and two 'proper' runners went out of their way to say helloš, so if you were running in the Reading area this morning and said hello to a large, middle-aged woman, red faced and singing along to Beyonce, that was me! It made my day.
'Fellow runners' made my day! : I did W4R2 at... - Couch to 5K
'Fellow runners' made my day!
Not in Reading but like you I started in the dark with nobody about, still not over confident around home here , country roads but have done parkrun itās a wonderful atmosphere...... donāt know why we care so much about others weāll done you red faces are all in
I still run at 5am for that reason (just havenāt found that extra bit of confidence). although my walk home just before 6am gets me noticed by a couple of people enjoying an early morning stroll along the sea front who always say good morning.
That is just grand... go you...out there and doing it! I was singing to ABBA!
well done nanarunrun, you can enjoy the rest of your day on that feelingšāāļø
Well done, i sometimes come across proper runners and they to seem so nice to us novices. Keep up the good work.
I'm not far away in North Hampshire and also an early morning runner because I run before work, I would have said hello and cheered you on
Thank you! I shall make sure I always do it from now on, it's nice to be nice!
Not in Reading but I love it when I pass other runners who say hello or smile or wave. It makes me feel like Iām part of something!
