I have found week 9 quite difficult. It's amazing how an extra two minutes can make such a difference. I think part of the problem has been that I was trying to see if I could run faster instead of just being satisfied with completing the time. Anyway, I am thrilled to say that this morning at 6.00 a.m. I completed W9R3 and I felt absolutely wonderful. I am unsure what to do next. I think I will gradually increase my time, maybe a couple of minutes each run to see how long it takes me to complete the 5K and then maybe move on to the stepping stones podcast. Here goes!

I keep seeing something on here called bridge to 10k. I only had a quick look but it sounds like a c25k type thing but for people who've completed it. Might be worth a look?
Or what about park run? That's what I'm training for. Once I can do 5k in 40 minutes or under, I'm going to start doing park run.
Thanks. Great. Go for it. It's an amazing feeling to get to the end. Though I don't feel like it's the end I feel like a door has opened to a future life of running and fitness.
I can't believe I'm enjoying this as much as I am - I'm 53 on Saturday and until recently wouldn't have dreamed I'd ever take up running - but it's fab! I love it !
Congratulations on completing the program! In week 9 the problem for me wasn't the extra two minutes, it was all those long runs one after another, after another! But once they were done, I realised it was forming a great habit. Keep running and enjoy what comes. It's only a few weeks since I graduated and I was fixated on challenges and structure, but actually just going out there for 30 minutes several times a week is really fun just in itself. Certainly for me just now anyway. Enjoy graduate
