Just put your trust in the programme because it really does work. If you need to re do a run it doesn’t matter, but honestly you will be able to do it. It is so much more a mental than physical thing. Good luck 😉
Welcome to the forum and well done on your progress.
This guide to the plan is essential reading healthunlocked.com/couchto5... and includes advice on pacing........you are possibly going too fast.
I would recommend following the link to the post about mental approach.........you can only fail this plan by heading permanently back to the couch.
Enjoy your journey.
Thanks im pretty sure i am running too fast. I do 2 runs a week alone and 1 run with my partner. I find wen im with my partner my pace is better. Just need to improve it on my own runs!! Wont be headin back to the couch, enjoying this too much and im determined!!😁
Slow and steady wins the day. You can work on your speed when you've graduated. Well done!
Week 3 will be fine. It’s just nine minutes of running, same as week 2. Yes there are fewer walking breaks but the previous two weeks’ training will have you ready for that.
Well done! I started week two today as well. I also have myself the heebie geebies by reading too far ahead in the programme and feeling daunted so am not looking beyond the week I am in - one step at a time methinks! Good luck for the rest of the programme!
Totally agree, I did that and am sure that was what got me through it 🤩. Also, running at a really slow pace - more like half steps got me through the tough bits where I was thinking about stopping. I actually feel nervous now I have graduated!! Not having the guided tour, think I will just redo Wk9 over and over so I get Laura & co to help me.
Go for it and remember you are doing this for “you” Good Luck 😉
Don't look too far ahead it's scary! Trust the programme and listen to your body, you can do this!
Update; im on week 3 .. no problems at all... worrying about nothing...feeling positive 😀😀
Have faith. You will find as the runs get longer you find the ability to run much more slowly.
“Any slower and I’ll stop”? You’ll surprise yourself.
Enjoy the next one. You can do this if you allow yourself to.
