Week Seven Run Two

This is the third time I have done the plan, I’ve completed it, run many five ks and had injuries that have meant I have had to stop. So, has anyone done this too and do you have any tips to prevent injury? I should say I am very overweight so injuries are to be expected, do you think?

I was listening to a marathon coach... he advises people to start with virtually no running and work on strength for a while before starting the running plan. Stronger joints and muscles are more injury proof. Check out NHS strength and flex in the guide. It also has a forum here.

Runners world also did a series a few years ago about injuryproofing different joints... it’s still available online, but the search on their site is useless... I google “runners world “ and then the joint/muscle and it’s easier to find stuff.
