Well, I managed Wk3R3 even though I felt a bit lazy today. It was hard-going as it’s windy here in the Hebrides and I tried to place myself on tracks where I’d have the wind behind me for the runs. However this took me into cattle territory and I couldn’t believe it when I saw a crofter on a quad bike rounding up cows and A BULL and sending them in my direction!! (Not deliberately, I don’t think!) I was on my last 5 minute walk but felt very tempted to break into a run again! Fortunately they didn’t come too close and I’m home safe...

Great run... and so good you got home safely! You’re now a third of the way through the plan! Enjoy week 4.
🤣🙈 oh my goodness I’m glad you’re safe! I think most of the animals here are well cared for and used to being around people.
That said...
On my dog walk today, there was a ferocious ewe with her new lamb on the track - we turned around and walked the other way 🤣
Well done on completing week 3! 1/3 of the way through! 💪
What a brilliant post! Thanks for sharing! Being a city runner I love hearing countryside run stories and this is a good one! I’d have been so scared!! Glad you are home safe and sound!! 😃👍👏
As a born and bred islander I really should be used to these animals...but I can’t help being a bit scared. Thanks for reply. The land I run on is called machair and is sandy fertile soil. I think it has a nice gentle ‘give’ to it when running.
Nice to see that there are several people here on C25K from the Western Isles of Scotland, there was also a runner from the Isle of Skye reporting on her runs the other day, glad you enjoyed your run today Mary and you avoided that bull particularly, also great that today you are sharing the lovely ☀ sunshine that the rest of Scotland has been having over the Last few days. 😊
Thanks AlMorr. Funnily enough I noticed your name before and thought it had a Highland ring to it. You’re probably a distant cousin of mine or of my husband’s, as we both have Morrisons in our families!
