Well, 8am was the time for w5r3 today. I love running in the morning but more often than not I end up running in the evening as I can't get myself out of bed early enough to run before work. The warm up was fine, the first 10 mins were tough. I have a route which includes a small hill fairly near the start which is maybe a mistake but it certainly gets the heart pumping and the legs burning. The 10 to 15 min section was great, I felt I had got into my stride and it felt amazing. However, shortly after Jo had told me I had completed 15 mins, my headphones decided to run out or power. Thankfully I had a spare set with me however when I pulled them out my pocket while still running I discovered someone had been knitting with them and so while trying to run the last 5 mins I was trying to untangle said headphones, cross a road, connect them to my phone and install them into my ears after removing the dead ones hoping all the while that I hadn't missed Jo telling me I had finished my 20 mins. O well, all's well that ends well. Run completed, 3km covered, average pace of 6.55min/km. Onwards and upwards and lesson learnt to make sure the spare headphones are in a usable state before I run.

Congratulations on completing run 3 of week 5, that is a milestone run with C25K, onwards and upwards to week 6 run 1 but be careful about that run as it catches out some people with the interval walks and runs after the non stop 20 minutes of W5R3 which you have just ran, 😊

Thanks, not looking forward to going back to intervals really, kind of enjoyed just running!

Well done, despite having to unravel all that knitting.

Very organised to carry a spare set of headphones. Impressive!

I had my headphones die on me before so learnt the hard way

Yes I did once too. I struggled to run at all without music.
