My new running track

My grandparents need a bit of extra help at the moment as my grandad is having life saving surgery for his aneurysms and my nan has gone and fractured her leg. I go up to their house every day after work and take the dog out so it seemed like a perfect time to have another go at C25K plus I hoped I'd have a running partner (the dog).

At the back of their house is a big field that I've been using to run/walk round but the grass at the bottom is quite long so I struggled a little on my first run.

Yesterday I rocked up to theirs for W1R2 and my grandad had taken the ride on mower round the edge of the field to make me a running track. Bless him!

Unfortunately my running partner just gets confused as to why I am doing laps of the field and tends to just stand and watch hahaha!

Good on you and what a very thoughtful grandad making you your very own running track 😊😊

Just a shame the dog doesn't appreciate it hahaha! He'll never graduate.

Your Granddad's a legend. Good luck to him. What a beautiful place to run.

Thank you. He was so pleased with himself as well. Such a sweetheart!

Top marks for Grandad!!

I tried running with my dog during the first week and she loved it, but her enthusiasm wained in the second week and she just sat down when I headed off for my first run section of week 2 and she didn't budge!!

I think I need to work on her mindset!!

Well done to you. Happy running 😊.
