New running partner!

This is my new running partner who joined me for my last run. A bit unfair for her that I’m now doing 30 min and usually just under 5k. Apparently granny runs for longer and further than she expected!! She kept going though (with the odd walk) and since we did my usual route and I’d to double back for her a couple of times I ended up at 5.3k. Longest run yet (both time and distance). Also a very sensible pace because, in case you don’t know, 9 year olds NEVER stop talking and I’ve never tested if I could talk and run before! She said she’d do it again if we didn’t go so far. And walked a bit! I might go back to week 5 with her and try to work in some speed work for me. That’s IF she agrees when the time comes. 😆

Someone posted a great idea on here last week for people running at different speeds... find a circuit and go in opposite directions round it, with a high five when you cross. My local park’s flower beds have been great for that.

What a great idea! She suggested circuits of the park but I thought that would be tedious. Thanks. I’ll suggest that to her. 😊

My 26 year old daughter accompanies me occasionally and possibly runs about 3 x the distance I do!

Didn’t feel that long probably because I took it slower. And it was cooler!!
